Kim's creative ideas and vast event experience shone through the tough competition to secure her the key position. She will now be part of a three strong project team tasked to deliver the 4 day event in Greenock and will be responsible for the event programme for the Tall Ships Races 2011.

Work has already started in planning the event which previously took place in the hot July of 1999, with 78 Tall Ships and 3000 crew attracting over 800,000 visitors.
